The decision to place TV 2/Danmark in the provinces in 1988 had both symbolic and practical implications, of which this project examines the background and impact. Here, two subject areas are combined with an issue that is relevant to both recent local history and Danish media history. As a national television station, TV 2, through its location and editorial line, has had a significant impact on the perception of the relationship between the capital and the provinces, similar to how the television station, as an attractive state workplace in the creative industry, held significant potential for the development of a larger provincial town.
